Dog Training Classes

Join Our Donation-Based Dog Training Classes!

These sessions are currently being offered on Fridays & Saturdays between 12pm-3pm until May 2024!

At Furry Friends we believe in fostering better relationships between humans and their furry companions. We’re excited to announce our new program – donation-based dog training classes open to the public! These classes focus on fundamental obedience, manners, and strengthening the bond between you and your four-legged friend.
What to Expect:
Our classes are designed to cover essential skills in basic obedience, manners, and relationship building. Led by experienced trainers, these sessions aim to enhance communication and understanding between you and your dog. Whether you’re a new pet parent struggling with communication or a long time owner just looking for some fun, we cater to all needs!
Class Guidelines:
To ensure a smooth and productive experience, here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Limited Space: Please register for this class in advance as space is limited.
  • Treats: Bring high-value, delicious treats such as hot dogs, chicken, or soft treats cut into small pieces to motivate and reward your dog.
  • Hungry Pup: Bring a hungry dog to class, avoiding feeding them right before the session.
  • Collar and Leash: Please have your dog wear a no-slip martingale-style collar and use a 4 to 6-foot leash for control and safety.
  • Dog Interaction: Set your dog up for success by refraining from allowing interactions between dogs during class time. We focus solely on the training agenda at hand.
  • Scope of the Class: This class is tailored for basic behavior modification and is not intended for animals with intense aggression issues.
  • One-on-One Sessions: For more serious behavior issues, individual one-on-one sessions can be scheduled with our trainers.
Join us in creating a positive and enriching experience for both you and your canine companion. Together, let’s build a stronger bond and improve behavior through understanding and effective training techniques.
